Rusippisir Municipio

Taksebt

Listen to the story

Rusippisir, a Roman municipium, lay at Taksebt on the coast of Kabylia in Algeria, where large ruins remain, and a bishop of the town is recorded in 484 AD. The map puts it twenty-three Roman miles from Rusazus and forty-two from Iomnium, but that second figure is probably a copying slip for eighteen.
