Rusazu Municipium

Azeffoun (Barrington) · beim Cap Sigli (Miller)

Listen to the story

Rusazus, now Azeffoun on the coast of Kabylia, bears a Punic name, probably meaning cape of the fort, from its days as a Carthaginian base below Cape Corbelin. Augustus made it a Roman colony, and remains of harbour moles, temples, baths and a cemetery survive. On the map the next stretch of road, towards Saldae, is drawn as two.
