Rusidava was a station on the Olt valley road in Roman Dacia, perhaps at Momotești in Romania; older research looked at Drăgășani, where there are Roman ruins. Like many Dacian place names it ends in dava, settlement. The map sets Rusidava twenty-four Roman miles, about thirty-five kilometres, from Acidava and fourteen from Pons Aluti.
