Ponione, which may also be read Pomone, was a station on the Roman road from Augsburg towards Ulm, at Zusmarshausen in Bavarian Swabia, where Roman graves have been found. The map places it twenty-one Roman miles from Augusta Vindelicum, the provincial capital at Augsburg, and forty from the next station, Ad Lunam.
