Road station

Phalcara

Phalcara stood, by an older placement, roughly opposite the mouth of the river Zabatus, near the ruins of Kalaat Makhul. It lies twenty-eight Roman miles, about forty-one kilometres, from Sabbin. Beyond it the road crosses the Tigris on its way to Gibrata, but the map gives no figure for that stretch.
