Road station

Petris

Uroiu

Petris is drawn on the road from Ad Aquas to Germisara, the route from Sarmizegetusa down to the Mureș valley in Roman Dacia, and is placed at Uroiu near Simeria in Romania; older research suggested Rapolt, where the mountains come close to the river. From here, older research held, a road ran west along the Mureș to Micia. The name means at the rocks, and the map knows another place so called. The map sets Petris thirteen Roman miles from Ad Aquas and nine from Germisara.
