Road station

Pharca

Pharca appears in the Ravenna list as Parcha and in the road book of Isidore of Charax as Bartha. Older research placed it at Cherabad, on the northern shore of the Hilmand lake. The map counts seventeen Roman miles from Arate and twenty-five on to Aris, and the Ravenna list knows two further stations along this stretch.
