Road station

Lucos

Muro Lucano [2]

Listen to the story

Lucos, probably named after sacred groves, was a station in the mountains of Lucania, most likely at Muro Lucano. It is known only from this map and from the list of places compiled in Ravenna, which fuses it with the previous station into the single name Locupissandas. The map sets it twenty-four Roman miles from Pisandes and twelve from Potentia.
