Luco Boramni

Diano Marina [TIR · Pleiades] · Oneglia · Cervo [3]

Lvco Boramni is Lucus Bormani, the Grove of Bormanus, at Diano Marina on the Ligurian Riviera. Bormanus was a Celtic and Ligurian god linked with healing springs, and the neighbouring station, Costa Bellene, may carry the name of another such god, Belenus. The copyist swapped two letters in the god's name. A milestone found nearby, at Chiappa near Cervo, counts five hundred and fifty-three Roman miles, about eight hundred and twenty kilometres, from Rome, by way of Piacenza. Oddly for a sacred grove, the map gives the place no symbol.
