Euristo
Drenovo ?
Euristo, the Audaristos of the Greek geographer Ptolemy, lay near Drenovo in North Macedonia, where the road from Stobi leaves the valley of the Crna for the mountains of Pelagonia. Above the Roman town, which covered ten hectares within its walls, rose an older acropolis with massive Hellenistic stone walls. After a disaster in the middle of the third century, perhaps a Gothic raid, the settlement moved south, and an inscription honouring Theodosius the First shows that it lived on. On the map a crease blurs some letters of the name.
