Condate

Condres

Condres is the current identification for the Condate of the map, a station of the Gabali on the road between Javols and Saint-Paulien. The list of places compiled in Ravenna names it too. Older research looked to Monistrol-d'Allier, where the Ance joins the Allier, and that would suit the name, for Condate is Celtic for a confluence. Saugues, Chanteuges and Saint-Arcons were proposed as well. At Saint-Léger, on the border of the Arverni and the Gabali, a milestone counts five miles from the town of the Gabali.
