Condate

Condé-sur-Iton

Where two arms of the river Iton meet in Normandy, at Condé-sur-Iton, lay the station of Condate, in the land of the Eburovices on the road from Évreux to Dreux. Its name is simply the Celtic word for a confluence, which is why several other places on the map share it. Older research also looked for it near Marcilly-la-Campagne, thinking Condé too far to the west. The Roman register of routes knows it by the same name.
