Kelvedon (Barrington)
Cavnonio is Canonium, a station on the Roman road from London to Colchester, near Kelvedon in Essex, though Witham nearby has also been suggested. The map places it twelve Roman miles, about eighteen kilometres, after Caesaromagus and eight before Camulodunum; the Roman register of routes gives nine for the first stretch. Traces of an ancient road have been noted at Kelvedon. The map adds an extra u to the name.
