Catuiacia

(near Céreste) (Barrington)

Catuiacia was a station on the road from Apt up to Sisteron, named on all four silver cups from Vicarello as well as in the Roman register of routes. Older research placed it at Carluc, between Reillane and Céreste, where the distances fit and ancient remains have been found; a modern atlas puts it near Céreste. Other proposals were Oppedette, Forcalquier and Les Roquettes. One of the cups miswrites the name as Catulacia.
