Castra Aniba

Ponte Annibale (Miller)

Listen to the story

Castra Aniba, Hannibal's camp, recalls the Carthaginian camp between Capua and Mount Tifata, from which Hannibal watched over his ally Capua while Roman armies besieged it; the spot is sometimes placed at Ponte Annibale. The list of places compiled in Ravenna writes Castra Annibal. On the map the name looks squeezed in between the lines, without distances to its neighbours.
