Boxum was the first station out of Autun on the road towards Decize, in the land of the Aedui not far from Bibracte. Its site has never been found, and a modern atlas leaves it unlocated. Older suggestions include Bussière, Buis, Saint-Léger and Lusy; another looked to the pond of Bussy, where local tradition puts an ancient town. On the map, the beginning of the short stretch from Boxum to Autun is not marked.
