Road station
Arebrigium
nahe Le Pré-St-Didier [7], in Morgex an der Dora Baltea [5], in Derby [6], Arvier im Aostatal [8]
Arebrigivm is Arebrigium, a station on the road from Aosta over the Little Saint Bernard into Gaul, somewhere in the upper Aosta valley in Italy; the suggestions include Arvier, Derby, Morgex and Pré-Saint-Didier. Stretches of the supporting walls of the Roman road survive at Arvier. The map's twenty-five Roman miles to Aosta agree with the Roman register of routes, but over the pass the two part company: the register counts twenty-four miles on to Bergintrum on the far side, while the map, in three stretches, makes it thirty-four.
