Veresvos

Bir Marbod (Miller)

Veresvos was a place in Byzacena, in modern Tunisia, on the road from Capsa, now Gafsa, to Tacapae, now Gabès, twenty-three Roman miles from Capsa. Older research put it at Bir Marbod by the Djebel Kerua, but its exact site has not been fixed. The map spells out the next stretch in full, in widely spaced capitals: from Veresvos to Thasarte, eighteen miles. The Ravenna list knows the name as well.
