Road station

unnamed/illegible, no. ID 3753

Inland from Vada Sabatia, today Vado Ligure in Italy, on the road up into the Ligurian mountains, the map marks a stop without a name, twelve Roman miles, about eighteen kilometres, before Canalicum. Nothing more is recorded about it. Like many nameless marks on this map, it may stand for a lost station, or it may be no more than a turn in the drawn road, a place where the copyist needed room for a figure.
