Populos, the Roman Populi, was a place to change horses on the road from Poetovio to Mursa, on the south bank of the Drava, east of Varaždin in Croatia; older research placed it at Žabnik. The pilgrim from Bordeaux names it as well. The map sets Populos eleven Roman miles, about sixteen kilometres, from Aqua Viva and eight from Botivo.
