Norue

Conversano [Pleiades · 2]

Listen to the story

Norve is Norba, now Conversano in Apulia, whose people the Roman writer Pliny lists as the Norbanenses; the list of places compiled in Ravenna writes Norbe. It is not the better-known Norba in Latium. On the map two roads meet here: one comes from Sublupatia, twenty Roman miles away, and one continues eight Roman miles to Ad Veneris, while the distance back to Azetium is missing.
