Lorano

Lorano is known only from this map, a station on the coast road to Tragurium, the Roman Trogir, in Croatia. Where it lay is unclear: older research suggested Vrpolje, or Rogoznica near the island of Zirona, while a more recent view prefers the bay of Stari Trogir, one of the most dangerous points on the Adriatic sea route, where a harbour would have mattered greatly. On the map the figure of fifteen miles to Tragurium is preceded by a large dot, which may mark the boundary between Liburnia and Dalmatia.
