Road station
Loposagio
vielleicht Beaume-les-Dames
Loposagio was a station of the Sequani near the Doubs, on the road from Besançon towards the Rhine, perhaps at Baume-les-Dames or nearby Luxiol. The name is probably miscopied: its ending is foreign to Gaulish, although its first part holds the personal name Lopos, as in Lopodunum, today Ladenburg. The Roman register of routes seems to have a different station, Velatodurum, at about the same place. On the map the stretch onward to Mandeure is drawn as two.
