Legedia
Avranches
Legedia is usually placed at Avranches, near the Gulf of Saint-Malo, the town of the Abrincatui. The Greek geographer Ptolemy calls it Ingena, and older research wondered whether the map's Legedia is a corruption of that name. As so often in Gaul, the town later took the name of its tribe: a late Roman list of garrisons stations a prefect of Dalmatian soldiers at Abrincatis. The road towards Rennes is drawn as a half-circle followed by a straight stretch with neither name nor figure, something unique on the map.
