Of Insula Antiochia, the map now keeps little more than a pale island outline and a few fading letters. The photograph of 1888 still shows the island's border and the ending ochia, with the o barely visible and a single upright stroke before it, perhaps an i. The printed edition of 1598 still gave the name in full. The island is identified with Burgaz Adası, one of the Princes' Islands off Istanbul in Turkey.
