Road station

Centum Putea

Surducu Mare

Centum Putea means a hundred wells. It was a station on the road from Lederata to Tibiscum, placed near Surducu Mare in the Romanian Banat; older research looked for it in the spring-rich country between Stamora and Butin, south of the extinct volcano of Șumiga. The map sets Centum Putea twelve Roman miles from Arcidava and twelve from Bersovia, like every stage on this stretch of Trajan's road.
