Road station
Brucla
Aiud
Brvcla is Brucla, a Roman road station near Aiud in Romania, on the road along the Mureș, and one of the more important places in the gold-mining district of Roman Dacia. An altar found nearby was set up by a guild of gold miners, and rich leaseholders from the colony of Sarmizegetusa owned land here. The governors of the province themselves dedicated altars here and were honoured with inscribed stones, in 158 and 161. The place kept its importance from Trajan to Antoninus Pius, and a relief of Mithras was found close by.
