Road station

Baba

Listen to the story

Baba was a meeting point of roads on the map: one came in from Thebeta, another from Sihinnus, thirty Roman miles away, and together they ran on thirty-three miles to Singara. Its position was once thought easy to fix, on the northern slope of the Jebel Sinjar, but the ground had never been explored, and the station is still unlocated.
