Annum

Listen to the story

Annum was a small place of the Frentani on the coast road of the Abruzzo, between Anxanum and Pallanum, known otherwise only from the list of places compiled in Ravenna. It lay about where the road reached the river Sangro, the ancient Sagrus, and so it may really have been the river crossing itself, with Annum perhaps a garbled form of the river's name.
