Road station

Ad Cahalis

Ain Mtussa (Miller) · Henchir Mtussa (Dessau)

Ad Cahalis, which older research read as Ad Cazalis, was a station on the road from Theveste to Thamugadi in Numidia, placed at Henchir Mtussa in Algeria, where Roman inscriptions have been found. On the map the copyist seems to have noticed only when he reached the next name, Ad Germani, that a new stretch was due, and made do with a tiny dip in the road line instead of a proper bend. The map sets Ad Cahalis ten Roman miles from the unnamed station before it and six from Ad Germani.
