Ab Euforbio Abamea Milia XXXVI

Ab euforbio Ab amea milia, followed by thirty-six, is a road note gone wrong: it should say from Euphorbium to Apamea, thirty-six miles, about fifty-three kilometres. The copyist failed to recognise Apamea, which the map shows as Apamea Ciboton, and split it into Ab amea, perhaps mishearing the word as he dictated the text to himself. Like the note from Synnada to Euphorbium, this line bridges a long gap between two towns.
