Road station
Varadeto
Varaire?
Varadeto was a road station of the Cadurci, probably near the border with their eastern neighbours, the Ruteni. It lay on the long road from Lyon to Bordeaux, between Cahors and Carantomago, and the map is its only source. Most scholars have placed it at Varaire, between the Lot and its tributary the Aveyron; others suggested Puyjourdes, Cajarc or Castelnau, and one later view moved it further east, near Martiel.
