Road station

Thelbon

Thelbon stood where the road forked, twelve Roman miles from Zeugma; from here one branch ran eight miles to Vicus, the other twenty-four to Banata. On this part of the map the names are packed so tightly that their order is open to doubt, which makes the Ravenna list a welcome help, since it gives the whole route in full. A tentative suggestion puts Thelbon near Zirafki.
