Thallaba lay twenty-eight Roman miles from Birrali and the same distance again from Thubida, and the map shows it as a plain name without a picture. One suggestion puts it on the river Khabur, near Tell Um Djerdje and beside the ruins of Kyshlat el Heseke, but the site has never been confirmed.
