Road station

Sorvae

Listen to the story

Sorvae is the spelling on the road from Artaxata; where the same station appears on the parallel road from Raugonia, the map writes Sorve, a reminder that it tolerates such variants. It lies twenty-seven Roman miles beyond Catispi. One suggestion links it with a place called Zourzoua, and older research looked for it on the Maku Chai or at Meszur, but its site remains unknown.
