Roschirea
Roschirea is a name placed with care: none of its letters runs through the river drawn beside it, though space is tight, and the figure for the next stage, seventeen miles to Tigubis, sits below the road line. The station lay eighteen Roman miles from Tharrana, and the Ravenna list calls it Vesceria. Older research reckoned fifty-four miles from Harran to Tigubis, with water stations every eight or nine miles, and concluded that one stop had dropped out of this road.
