Ad taum
Bungay am Waveney
Ad Taum stands at the very edge of what survives of the map, in the east of England, where its line runs out to the sea. It has been placed at Bungay on the Waveney, or at the mouth of the Yare. Because the name is written on two lines, it may be only the end of a longer word whose beginning was lost, perhaps Ad Ostium, At the Mouth, or Ad Stoma. Twenty-two Roman miles lead from here to Sinomagus. Its site is not known for certain.
