Ad Horrea

St-Cassien? (Barrington)

On the map Ad Horrea's name and its distance figure are written along the previous stretch, because there was no room to start a new one, and the stretch that belongs to it is left short and blank. The station lay between Fréjus and Antibes, and its name, at the storehouses, surely comes from granaries built there. Its site depends on the road's course: near the coast at La Napoule or Cannes, or inland at Grasse or Auribeau; a modern atlas suggests Saint-Cassien. The list of places compiled in Ravenna writes Orea.
