Ad Herculem

Žitoradja

Listen to the story

Ad Herculem, 'at Hercules', appears a second time on the map: a plain name without a picture, a line below the station of the same name that has a temple, and with no stroke to tie it to its road. It may be the same station drawn twice, or a second one that probably lay near Brestovac in Serbia. On its road it sits eight Roman miles from Ad Fines, 'at the border', and nine from Praesidium.
