Road station
Ad Flexum
bei S. Pietro in Fine [Pleiades]
Listen to the story
Massive walls of polygonal stone on the heights around San Pietro in Fine still watch over the spot where the Via Latina made a turn between Casinum and Venafrum, near the ninety-sixth milestone from Rome. That bend gave the station its name, Ad Flexum, at the curve. From here a road branched off towards Venafrum and Aesernia, and another station on the Via Latina, Rufrae, seems to have dropped out of the map at this point.
