People
Sardetae
Listen to the story
The Sardetae are a people whose name the map sets in the lands east of the Sea of Azov, below the Taurus mountains. Several of its letters have faded and are hard to read. Scholars usually take this people to be the one other sources call the Satarchae, and a major atlas of the ancient world records it under that name.
