River
Flusor Flumen
Listen to the story
Flusor Flumen stands on the Tabula as a bare name with no drawing, and oddly the river itself is not drawn at all. The entry probably marks the bridge over it, or the road station beside that bridge, on the coast road between Potentia and Castellum Firmanorum in Picenum. The river is usually taken to be the Potenza, a coastal river in the Italian Marche. A saint's life of Severinus calls it the shallow Flusor flowing past Septempeda, and a list of places compiled in Ravenna knows it as Floxor and Flosor.
