River
Flumen Rhamma o. Fl. Ramma
Listen to the story
In the lands east of the Euphrates and south of the Taurus, the map draws a river line with no name beside it, known today as Flumen Rhamma. The name is borrowed. A road station called Rhamma, marked as a river crossing, stands on a nearby stretch of route between Thelser and Albania, and that station is the only clue to which river is meant. Older research took the stream for a tributary of the Physcus; later research matches it with the ancient Radanus.
