Flumen nomen nescio, Latin for "river, name unknown", is how scholars label this watercourse, one of the many that the Tabula draws without any name at all. It belongs to the part of Asia lying east of the Euphrates and south of the Taurus mountains. The copyist gave it no label and no station of its own, only its course, a line of water stretching across a fair part of the map.
