River
Fl. N.N.
Listen to the story
Flumen nomen nescio, "river, name unknown", is the label editors give to a nameless stream in the part of the Tabula covering Egypt, the Nile and Ethiopia. The copyist drew its course as a line but wrote no name beside it. It carries no stations or distances, only its place in the map's crowded web of African waterways.
