River
Fl. N.N.
Listen to the story
Flumen nomen nescio, 'river, name unknown', is the label scholars give to this watercourse, because the map draws it without any name at all. It flows through the part of the Tabula given over to Egypt, the Nile and Ethiopia, a stretch of line without a single written word beside it and with no modern river firmly attached to it.
