River
Fl. N.N.
Listen to the story
This nameless river flows across the eastern part of the map, among the tributaries of the Euphrates in Commagene. Its likely identity comes from the road below its course: one station there is called Ad Flumen Capadocem, 'at the river Capadox', and another Ad Pontem Singe, 'at the bridge over the Singas'. The river is probably one of those two streams, which merge before reaching the Euphrates. The Singas rose in the mountains of Pieria, passed the town of Singa and joined the Euphrates south of Samosata.
