Via Clodia

Via Clodia is written on the map at Ad Sextum, the sixth milestone outside Rome, where the Clodia and the Via Cassia still shared one road. They parted near La Storta, and the Clodia ran on through southern Etruria past Lake Bracciano to Forum Clodii and Blera. Who built it is unknown; perhaps it was a Clodius who also founded Forum Clodii. Beside the Clodia, at the fifth milestone, lay the grove of Robigus, the god of mildew, where the Romans sacrificed every year on the twenty-fifth of April to keep the blight from their grain.
