Portus Meomensium

Tears, wrinkles and a hole in the parchment have almost erased Portus Meomensium, a harbour name in the northern Balkan part of the map. Today only scattered letters can be made out, and the name is best seen on the photograph of 1888. The full reading goes back to the printed edition of 1598, while the edition of 1753 left the ending more cautiously incomplete.
