In the central Apennines, in the mountains of the Marche, Abruzzo and Lazio, the map draws the third of its six chains, with ten rivers springing from it. Among them are the Anio, the Aniene that falls at Tivoli and joins the Tiber at Rome, the Farfa of the Sabine hills, and the Tenna, which runs to the Adriatic.
